Today is a bit of a dreary day and I miss my boys.

People say to me – ‘Don’t you want them to go and reach their goals?” SURE! However, when reaching their goals is equivalent to them being 8 hours away from me, it gets a little tough. I cheer them daily! I would just like for them to be able to stop by and grab lunch, watch a funny show, or talk.

One thing I was most ill-prepared for was not being needed on a daily basis. That was the most difficult for me when they left for college. I have gotten used to it now, but it was not an easy process.

I am looking forward to seeing Eric and his girlfriend Amy in a couple of weeks – even if it is only for a few hours. Then, I will fly to Nashville next month to spend the weekend. That will be fun and I am most looking forward to hearing their stories, seeing their smiles and hearing their laughter. Laughter never, ever gets old as a parent hearing their child. Neither does seeing their face, after a time away. I miss their faces – and I can’t wait to hug them.

Time. Time is precious. Looking forward to time with them.
